Preludio, canzone e danza is a composition of Claudio Dall'Albero, Professor of Composition and Choral Conducting at the Conservatory S. Cecilia in Rome. The Preludio is written in imitative style; the following Canzone presents the classical structure A-B-A. Lastly, the Danza is influenced by mediterranean folk tradition, together with some rhythmic reminiscences of the early baroque period.

The musical style of Dall'Albero is inspired by medieval monody and by the modality of classic polyphony.
