From the Oratorio Mors et Vita. Composed by Charles Francois Gounod. Arranged by Marc Koninkx. Baton Music orchestral series. From the Oratorio Mors et Vita. Full Score and set of parts. Duration 4:30. Baton Music #BM463-SET. Published by Baton Music (BF.BM463-SET).

The oratorio 'Mors et Vita' (Death and Life) is the continuation of 'The Redemption' and was the second of a proposed trilogy of oratorios written on commission by Charles Gounod for the Birmingham Festival in 1885. 'Mors et Vita' is probably best known by 'Judex' (The Judge). It is an instrumental number in the second part and became one of the most effective pieces of orchestration in the oratorio.
