Yea, you should start on the e string, thats what it says in the book. plus if you go by the book, you can use this song as a finger warm up cause it makes your fingers move a lot. But at least it sounds good.

that's perfect!!! i have a book too and it is played exactly like that!!!!!! i don't think you should play it on the E string...it would be too high...
